EnergyShield Wall Insulation

Atlas EnergyShield® rigid wall insulation is a closed cell polyisocyanurate (polyiso) foam core, faced with a reflective foil facer on the front and a non-reflective, red acrylic-coated facer on the back. EnergyShield® wall insulation combines high R-value, durable foil facers, and water resistive attributes in a high performance rigid insulation board. EnergyShield® is suitable for a variety of continuous insulation (CI) applications.

Panel sizes are 4' by 8' or 4' by 9'. Panels can be supplied in nominal 16" or 24" widths for use in cavity wall applications. Custom sizes are also available.

R-values: EnergyShield®

Insulation R-value is a measure of thermal resistance used in the building and construction industry. The R-value being discussed is the unit thermal resistance. This is used for a unit value of any particular material. Below is the table of insulation R-value for Atlas EnergyShield® wall insulation. The higher the number, the better the building insulation's effectiveness.

1    Conditioned thermal values were determined by ASTM Test Method C 518 at 75° mean temperature.
Test specimens were conditioned in accordance with procedures outlined in ASTM C1289, Section 11.1.2.1
