Atlas Roof Deck Insulation is well established in the building materials industry through its ACFoam® family of products. Cores of these products are polyisocyanurate (polyiso) foam, the most widely used and accepted rigid insulation in use today. It is estimated that 60-65% of all commercial new or re-roofing applications nationwide use polyiso. Rigid polyiso is a safe, cost-effective, sustainable and energy efficient construction material. All of Atlas nailable polyiso insulation is QualityMarkcm certified, giving consumers an easy way to identify quality products that meet or exceed listed LTTR-values.
Some of the benefits of polyiso insulation are:
Designed for use over unventilated roof decks. CrossVent® allows heat to dissipate while providing a nailable surface and efficient insulation in a one-step labor saving process.
What if you could have a prefabricated, ventilating nailable insulation AND a Radiant Barrier? Now you can! CrossVent® RB combines superior R-values with radiant heat protection. Radiant heat is formed when rays of energy from the sun strike an object and transform from motion energy to heat energy. Standard nail base insulation does a good job of reducing convective and conductive heat transfer. However, it does little to reduce radiant heat transfer, which contributes significantly to the total heat flow into the building. Only CrossVent® RB substantially limits Conductive AND Radiant Heat Transfer.
Atlas Roofing Corporation is proud to introduce the Techni-Flo™ Engineered Ventilation System. Manufactured to meet the design conditions of each project, this state-of-the art ventilation system is engineered to ensure consistent intake and exhaust air flow underneath the roof covering of commercial building applications. Proper venting throughout a steep-sloped roofing system is essential for durability of the roof system and for moderation of roof cover temperatures above the air space. The Techni-Flo™ engineered ventilation system consists primarily of three components:

ACFoam® Nail Base Insulation is ideal for use over sloped solid wood decks having a slope greater than 1/4" per foot. The OSB provides an excellent base for nailing non-asphaltic shingles.
Atlas Roofing Corporation®, for years a recognized leader in the manufacture of environmentally-friendly polyisocyanurate (polyiso) insulation, is now proud to announce that all Atlas Nailable products are available with FSC® Certified components upon request at any of our polyiso manufacturing facilities. SCS is an independent third-party certifier of environmental and sustainability purity claims, and is accredited by the FSC to certify companies to their international standards. FSC Chain of Custody certification means that Atlas Roofing® has met strict tracking requirements for ensuring that wood components used in Atlas® nailable insulation products represented as FSC Certified are manufactured with wood that comes from a well-managed forest.
Atlas® nailable insulation products that have the potential to meet these strict FSC Chain of Custody Certification requirements are CrossVent®, CrossVent® RB, and Nail Base Insulation. These products are available upon request at all Atlas polyiso manufacturing facilities in North America, can be specified in either FSC Pure, FSC Mixed, or FSC Recycled versions, and can contribute to gaining the Certified Wood LEED® credit.
