These acronyms are the initials of the primary Model Building Codes which are utilized by the various municipal, county and state governments on which to base their legally enforceable local building codes. The local building codes are law in the jurisdictions where they are legislated, while based on the Model Building Codes. If a product has a Model Code Evaluation Report, it has been tested and accepted for it´s suitability as a product for use in in a structure in a code regulated jurisdiction. The end use is described in the evaluation report.
