Primary Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, answer inquiries, and research discrepancies as needed.
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports as requested by management.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to routine inquiries, and assist callers by obtaining requested information.
  • Maintain and file accounting records using manual and electronic filing systems.
  • Reconcile inventory and production reports if requested.
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets by updating accounting information as needed.
  • Prepare, mail, and/or fax invoices to customers.
  • Key customer credits and rebates.
  • Cross train and provide backup to other positions in the accounting department.
  • Interact with the Accounting Manager, Production Personnel, and Account Executives to ensure accounting function is managed properly.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year experience in accounting and computer based accounting system.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft office Excel and PeopleSoft or related ERP software.
  • Use of 10 key calculator for mathematical processes.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Confidential treatment of department information.

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • Minimum of one year experience in accounting and computer based accounting system.
