Repairs, maintains, and installs plant machines and equipment
Performs electrical/electronic maintenance, construction, layout, installation, repairs and controls according to established practices and methods
Assembles, disassembles or installs mechanical, electrical/electronic equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents and verbal field instructions needed to perform assigned duties
Uses and operates tools and or any equipment with proficiency in performing work of the craft
Reads and maintains electrical metering devices
Adjusts, repairs and replaces any faulty parts in plant machinery and equipment
Analyzes, troubleshoots and performs maintenance and repairs of any plant mechanical and or electrical systems
Participates in the plant preventative maintenance programs
Cleans and maintains motors, pumps and parts
Completes required records and reports
Rigs ladders and scaffolding necessary to accomplish assigned work
Moves equipment as required using powered or manually operated equipment assigned
Operates fork lift and man lifts
Performs inspection of equipment; checks fluid levels and various component systems for malfunctions.
Maintains and repairs plant building and grounds items (including but not limited to walls, floors, roofs, windows, drains, piping, roads, sidewalks, docks, etc)
Responds to production service calls
Applies protective coatings to equipment, floors etc.
Notifies appropriate personnel immediately of any process, quality, or safety issues and takes corrective action within the scope of the job
Participation in plant safety, training, housekeeping programs
Participates in training and implementation of the plants PSM program
Experience
One year related manufacturing maintenance experience required
Three (3) to Five (5) years of relevant maintenance experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to forecasting and other practical situations
Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations
Education, Licenses & Certification
High School Diploma or GED required.
Trade school or Associates degree in relevant field preferred.
Additional Information
Required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, smell and lift or move up to 50 lbs.
