Responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, modifying, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facility.
Responsible for following all plant and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Inspect, dismantle, repair, replace, install, clean and assemble as necessary to maintain equipment/buildings as necessary.
Uses various types of meters and test equipment proficiently to allow for sound decision-making in the troubleshooting process. Able to communicate information to maintenance supervision and engineering to assist in analyzing equipment or for the purpose of making equipment modifications.
Perform pipe installations and repairs in various pipelines.
Interpret blue prints for equipment information and installation.
Works with maintenance supervisor to insure a sufficient level of back up spares for all mechanical equipment.
Utilize torches, welders and burning equipment.
Maintains daily shift inspection and repair logs for review by supervision, and other plant personnel. Minimal travel requirements as needed for training, etc, as detemined by Supervision.
Any and all other responsibilities as assigned by Supervision.
2-4 years experience in a manufacturing facility, or education equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to pass the Atlas Progression test with a score of 70% or better and be signed off on required tasks
Forklift certification required before operations of lift truck or other mobile equipment
Education, Licenses & Certification
High school diploma or equivalent.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms and to operate mechanical equipment.The hands and arms are also used for lifting and positioning different roofing products.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision, as well as being able to distinguish colors.
The employee must lift and/or move up to 80 pounds on a regular basis and for extended periods of time.
The employee must push and/or pull heavy parts and equipment.
The employee is frequently required to squat and bend.
The employee is constantly climbing up and down stairs and ladders, as well as climbing on and off of forklifts or other vehicles.
The employee is frequently required to operate a forklift or other motorized vehicles.
The ability to work in extremely hot weather conditions, as well as cold conditions, is required.
