Primary Responsibilities

This role provides support, direction, and guidance in a wide range of disciplines including process engineering, electrical/controls engineering, mechanical engineering, maintenance, safety, construction, design, finance, and product development.  This role is heavily involved with decision making for the facility, equipment, continuous improvement, and processes by utilizing strong planning, problem solving, and communication skills. This position is a key leadership position in the Byron Center EPS facility, the largest EPS plant in North America.  In this role, the manager will work closely with the other EPS plants to share best practices. 


  • 5-10 year experience in manufacturing
  • Leadership and managing people experience
  • Experience with various aspects of facility and equipment maintenance including electrical, mechanical, PLCs

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to lead, guide, manage and advise Atlas leadership, employees, co-workers, etc. effectively in writing and verbally.  
  • Interpersonal communication skills a must.  Computer skills including CAD, maintenance related softwar, and microsoft suite.  
  • Knowledge of all aspects of a facility, equipment and processes preferred to assist with lean initiatives, as well as manage the maintance staff and function. 
  • Ability to work in with a team or individually.  

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • A valid drivers' license
