Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains close relationship with Maintenance Manager, other Maintenance Technicians, Production, Quality Control and Shipping department.
  • Able to prepare for and complete work order tasks assigned.
  • Knowledge and ability to learn troubleshoot/repair all machinery and equipment in the plant, this includes electrical and mechanical.
  • Ability to learn metering and testing equipment used in troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use all power and hand tools needed to perform all tasks assigned to a Q2 Maintenance Technician.
  • Determines and maintains accuracy of all gauges, monitors, sensors and flow meters used in Production, Building and Grounds, Fire prevention and Security systems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruct Q1 maintenance worker.
  • Ability to install and maintain all equipment and machinery in and around the plant.
  • Travel to other locations for meetings, training or work as needed.
  • Regular, consistent physical attendance
  • Ability to change and/or rotate shifts on an as needed basis

Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years Industrial Electrical/Mechanical experience
  • Training in machinery, control systems
  • Include good working knowledge of D.C. motor controllers, A.C. inverters, PLC’s

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong ability to use mathematical concepts as required in performing job duties, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, etc.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to reason.  Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Must be PC literate and be able to use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate clearly (both orally and written) to personnel from a variety of functional areas.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED; some college preferred

Additional Information

  • Pay rate:  $27.00 - $35.00/hour
  • Shift:  6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Any other work related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor that may include heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs.), deep bending, climbing, sweeping, shoveling and other cleanup tasks.
