Primary Responsibilities

Manage information technology security for computers, servers and networks to protect the assets of the company. Plan and carry out security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks.  This position requires travel approximately 25% per year.

  • Develop a security strategy, including standards and best practices, and recommend security enhancements as needed.
  • Implement and maintain security agents deployed on endpoints across the enterprise.
  • Perform periodic scans of networks to find vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform periodic penetration testing to simulate an attack to highlight weaknesses.
  • Monitor and follow-up on suspicious activity detected by electronic sensors, network and computer monitoring tools.
  • Work closely with third-party managed security service providers to identify and drive enhancements across multiple threat defense solutions and ensuring continuous business operation.
  • In the event of a breach, lead incident response activities, then lead a technical and forensic investigation and prepare reports with findings to management.
  • Work with vendors on providing product updates, bug fixes and managing relations.
  • Develop and maintain corporate WLAN network architecture and security for employees and guests
  • Manage Active Directory objects, group policies, and user permissions.
  • Manage DNS and DHCP.
  • Educate the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise security related documentation.
  • Define, develop, and report security metrics to management.


  • Minimum of three years’ experience in information technology security.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Hands on experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, remote access management, log management, and content filtering.
  • Strong technology background related to servers, wired and wireless networks, virtual private networks, SD-WAN, and applications as well as network monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016; Virtualization technologies; Azure, Google, and Oracle Cloud infrastructure; DNS and DHCP and Microsoft AD infrastructure; Cisco security products and applications including Umbrella and AMP; AlienVault / USM Anywhere; PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Human Resources, Kronos, and Salesforce are a plus.
  • Knowledge of common security measures such as VLAN's and RADIUS servers to limit both users and guests to their appropriate level of access.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Teams, Outlook, and Windows 10.
  • Professional verbal and written communications.
  • Work well on cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Self-starter, ambitious, and proactive related to customer responsiveness, due dates, and deliverables.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve and develop innovative solutions.
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, clarity, and accuracy when accomplishing a task.

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least one IT security-related Certification
