Primary Responsibilities

  • Utilize E-Maintenance CMMS for the development of Work Orders, scheduling of Mill Rights, Preventative Maintenance, and store’s inventory; also responsible for training others on the system
  • Manage the Store Administrators including leading, training, and directing daily activities
  • Produce daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and down day work schedules for the Maintenance Technicians
  • Relieve Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Superintendent and Store Administrator during absences which entails the supervision of their direct reports, their safety, emergency call-ins, and quality of work
  • Development and maintaining of equipment specific Bills of Materials (BOM’s) and the inventory of all spare parts
  • Responsible for the optimization of the storeroom which includes the removal of obsolete parts and routine cycle counting of parts
  • Provide security for the storeroom inventory
  • Track and report on critical KPI’s to measure performance (Schedule compliance, Emergency Work Orders, Work from PM’s, etc.)
  • Direct daily meetings with Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisors to review schedule and prioritize work orders.
  • Assist in writing job plans for all Maintenance activities, including the development of the JSA program for the Maintenance Department
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis Teams for repeat or critical failures of equipment
  • Attend All Safety meetings and ensure the Storeroom Administrator receives all applicable training
  • Work closely with the Plant Superintendent and Plant Engineer on optimizing the use of Contractors to achieve both compliance for inspections and optimizing the use of the available maintenance staff
  • Manage and responsible for the completion of all required safety inspections in accordance to the Plant Safety Program
  • Manage Fork Truck Fleet in the Paper Mill. 

Experience

  • Supply room or Store room Administrator
  • Supervise Maintenance Staff in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Paper Mill Production Staff in the absence of Plant Superintendent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Organization. Must have sound organizational skills.
  • Communication.  Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Follow Through.  Fulfills the requirements of the position as described. Follow-through on completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Anticipates what needs to be done and proceeds without direction in a timely manner.
  • Problem Solving.  Ability to think through issues and develop solutions in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English.                 
  • Basic math skills required 
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, email (Lotus Notes), misc.
  • Must possess an exemplary attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • Engineering Bachelor’s Degree, Preferably Mechanical or Chemical
  • Minimum two (2) years working in Production/Manufacturing Environment, preferably in a paper manufacturing facility. Co-Op and intern work accepted
  • Required to pass the OSHA Forklift training
