Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
  • Reviews and approves recommendations of subordinates in matters of personnel or rate changes.
  • Responsible for selection, development and motivation of salaried employees.  Administers performance appraisals for salaried employees.
  • Participates in and plans long-range plant expansion, conversion and equipment planning.
  • Must achieve manufacturing profit objectives to meet quality and delivery requirements (Customer Service) at the lowest overall cost.
  • Responsible for meeting the environmental codes as established by Atlas Roofing Corporation, State and/or Federal requirements.
  • Responsible for plant industrial personnel relations with regard to the hourly workforce in meeting the policies and goals of the Division.  Participates in Union negotiations.
  • Responsible for meeting established requirements of governmental agencies with regard to current laws and regulations (EEO, OSHA, EPA, NLRB, etc.)
  • Determines the capital expenditures required in terms of plant operation, environment and growth for current year and long term planning.
  • Regular, consistent physical attendance.
  • Travel requirements: frequent


  • 10+ years experience in technical, personnel, financial and general management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Significant decision making requirements affecting plant personnel and economics.
  • Short and long-term complex decision making under general guidance.

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • College graduate in Technical or Business area.

Additional Information

  • Directly manages Department Managers and Administrative Assistant.  Indirect management of all salaried and hourly employees working at plant level.
