Primary Responsibilities

  • Increase sales and profit margin by building ongoing relationships with Design Professionals, Customers, Contractors, Distributors and OEMs
  • Maintain awareness of market pricing, product innovations, competitive product lines and market trends that may affect your market
  • Communicate accurate information daily with Regional Sales Manager, Regional Sales Director, Plant Manager, and other Field Sales Representatives on developments impacting their areas of responsibility
  • Communicate with customers in a timely manner
  • Promote and display products at trade shows and customer events
  • Promote new products and keeps customers informed of promotions, special offers, and incentive opportunities
  • Follow up on quotes and ensure the proper documentation has been sent to the appropriate Customer Service, Sales Support, and the Pricing Administrator
  • Travel for this position is mostly by driving but some flying may be required

Experience

  • Two (2) years’ experience minimum in the building material industry or at least four years in a field sales capacity is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers and anyone involved in the sale of the product
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, People Soft)

Education, Licenses & Certification

  • Four (4) year degree is preferred
