National Roofing Week starts on Sunday and Atlas Roofing is looking forward to celebrating the roofing industry and its professional roofers.
Organized by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), National Roofing Week promotes the significance of roofs for homes and businesses and shares the good deeds of the roofing industry. This year’s event is June 5-11 and emphasizes charitable projects, social media activities and a children’s art contest for relatives of NCRA members.
A critical component of every building, a roof can be overlooked unless a leak or other damage occurs, which is why National Roofing Week also emphasizes making informed decisions about roof maintenance or replacement and hiring professional roofing contractors.
“National Roofing Week is a valuable reminder about the importance of quality roofing,” said Ken Farrish, President of Atlas Roofing. “It honors the thousands of professional contractors in the roofing industry across the nation, as well as their commitment to the work they do in their communities.”
Social media is an important component of how National Roofing Week is observed. Atlas and other NCRA members will be sharing information and photos about their industry via Facebook, Twitter and other online platforms. Each day highlights a different theme: starting with charitable projects, followed by a salute to crew and staff, worker training, signature projects and, on Friday, June 10, a recap of contractors celebrating National Roofing Week. Participants will be tagging NRCA and using the hashtag #nationalroofingweek.
