Genesis Contractor Solutions Wins Its Class At The Mint 400

Some 380 vehicles took to the Las Vegas desert to compete in the 2017 Polaris RZR Mint 400. For the Genesis Contractor Solutions (GCS) Racing Team, the only number that mattered was one — as in, the team finished its 5500 Class/Division P in first place.

Composed of Genesis Capital Ventures (GSV) CEO and founder Jeff Posey, Chip Griffith and Paul Dallenbach, the GCS team completed the race with a time of 6:06:50.386, earning 77 points and a 10th-place overall finish in the Race 1, 2 lap classes.

The race was held the day after the close of the International Roofing Expo (IRE), the pre-eminent event for the roofing construction and maintenance industries. It also marked the beginning of a collaborative marketing partnership between Atlas Roofing and GSC, which specializes in offering capital, insurance collections and other back-office and consulting services to roofing and construction contractors in the insurance restoration industry.

The electric atmosphere of the crowd enthralled Atlas Roofing sales representative Dan Whitford, who marveled at the wall of spectators cheering as the trucks made their first two jumps and a hairpin turn to start the race.

“There were helicopters and drones overhead videoing the crowd and the race,” he said. “Vendors were set up everywhere. It reminded me of being at a NASCAR race.”

Contractor Troy Fiveash, owner of 5ash Roofing in Memphis, TN, said his Mint 400 experience was made even better by his generous hosts.

“Atlas Roofing and GCS made sure everything I needed, or even wanted, was provided,” he said. “I hope next time a function like this comes around, I am lucky enough to be involved.”

Congratulations to the GCS Racing Team on a well-deserved victory!
