WeatherMaster® HP-Granular Underlayment

WeatherMaster® HP-Granular

WeatherMaster® HP-Granular is our premium self-adhering composite underlayment, engineered to deliver professional-grade waterproofing protection where it matters: at the eaves, in the valleys, and across every vulnerable detail of the roof. A proprietary SBS-modified asphalt adhesive, reinforced with a fiberglass mat, gives the membrane its strength, flexibility, and tear resistance. WeatherMaster® HP-Granular is especially well-suited for ice and water protection on slopes exceeding 6:12, where its aggregate surface provides additional traction compared to standard granular ice and water underlayment.

Beneath that surface, the dual-modified asphalt locks the aggregate in place, while the self-adhering backing bonds aggressively to the deck and seals tightly around every fastener. The result is a continuous, watertight barrier that holds up to UV exposure and weathering before the primary roof covering is in place, and performs year round once it's covered.

WeatherMaster® HP-Granular can be installed across the full deck of a properly ventilated roof or applied to the high-risk areas where water collects and drainage slows. And because it works under a wide range of roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, tile, wood shake, and slate, you get premium protection without compromising the architectural look the homeowner wants.
